100% Agave. Nothing Less.

At Sorbo, we believe the quality of the tequila you drink matters. That’s why we’ve chosen to work with Cazcabel, an independently owned, family-led brand with deep roots and generations of expertise.

The Vazquez family, based in Atotonilco El Alto in the highlands of Jalisco, have been growing agave and producing tequila for four generations. When I visited their distillery, I saw firsthand the care, craft, and sustainability that goes into every bottle. This isn’t mass-market tequila. This is small-batch, premium tequila made with 100% Blue Weber agave, grown on their own land, harvested only after seven years of careful tending.

Crafted, not churned

The process is meticulous:
🌱 Slow-steamed piñas in brick ovens for over 26 hours to draw out soft, clean flavors.
🌊 Fermentation in steel tanks, using the mineral-rich highland water.
🔥 Distillation through a combination of copper and steel stills, followed by chill filtration to ensure a smooth, balanced finish.

Made in Jalisco

But beyond the process, what makes this partnership special to me is their commitment to the land and their people. Cazcabel recycles waste agave fibers into compost for new plantings, uses leftover piñas to heat the ovens, and is building a new solar and wind-powered distillery designed with nature in mind, even preserving an ancient tree at its center. Many of their production steps are still done by hand, supporting local jobs and giving back to their community through charity initiatives.

For us, it’s about more than just the tequila (though yes, it’s delicious). It’s about working with partners who care, about the craft, the land, and the people behind the bottle. And that’s exactly what I want Sorbo to stand for.
